Jasmine comes to The Awakened Mind Institute with significant experience treating a wide range of psychological difficulties. In addition to mood and anxiety disorders, Jasmine has expertise in disordered eating behaviors such as restriction, exercise compulsion, binging, and purging. Additionally Jasmine brings rare and valuable experience in treating personality disorders, in particular, borderline personality disorder (BPD).
- Jasmine treats adults, couples, families and adolescents (age 15 and over).
- She has a reputation for being compassionate, but straightforward, warm, empathetic and is described as having a strong, intuitive, yet non-judgmental nature.
- She can be counted on to give honest, accurate, and thoughtful feedback while creating a safe relationship for her clients.
While her work is informed by many different “traditional” therapeutic modalities, Jasmine infuses many clinically validated Eastern practices into her therapy.
Recently, she described her style as, “…integrative in that I pull heavily from psychodynamic and analytic theories in order to inform what I call ‘soul work:’ that incredibly courageous, but difficult work of honestly examining the sides of life that we instinctively hide or run from.”
In addition to her formal academic training, Jasmine has been trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She also leads groups on mindfulness, emotional acceptance, values exploration, and self-esteem.
